Marugame has become my go-to for a quick meal when I’m shopping and craving a hot bowl of noodle soup. It really hits the spot in the winter! Every location I’ve been to (Sawtelle, Santa Anita, DTLA/The Bloc) has been consistent in quality and service, this one included. Noodles are fresh, broth is rich but not too salty, regular size is plenty filling with a generous amount of toppings. Food is prepared fast, there’s lots of seating, nice ambiance/decor, and the people are always friendly. The prices are decent too. Definitely recommend!

OMG hidden gem. So delicious! Price is so good too. Quick and nice service. The only complaint is that the noodles are already boiled and sitting there to be served. So my noodles tasted little old and soggy. I think it will be more delicious if the udons are cooked upon ordering.

I first tried this place at their Santa Anita location and instantly fell in love. However, I don’t visit that location often because it just so overstimulating and always crowded. This location however is perfect. The service was fast, the food was fresh and delicious, and I love that they offer fresh veggies now!! The atmosphere of this location is exactly what I was looking for from the Santa Anita location. It’s a bit smaller which I prefer and not crowded at all. I highly recommend coming here!!

Hidden in the corner of Glendale Galleria is a spectacular Udon restaurant where they make it fresh and quick right in front of you, no wait, but always packed! Serves crispy tempura with just the right tenderness and a matcha drink on the side too! Chefs kiss!

Got a simple beef udon and tempura for dinner. While eating the udon, I wish I had ordered a gyudon bowl instead but if I ordered gyudon bowl I would be thinking of ordering beef udon intead. I really liked the side tempura, especially the curry croquet one. Too much sodium but worth the experience once in a while.

I have never been a fan of udon until i ate at Marugame in Glendale, CA. The udon are delicious as is the rich flavored both. The Curry Nikutama is superb but my favorite is the Nikutama in umami sauce al I ng with succulent sweet beef and made even better if you add the dehydrated sweet onions.

My little guy and I caught the flu-- we placed an online order early in the am and when we got to the pick up time there was a sign out front that said it was closed due to power outage and would open later, a moment later I think the owner had come by and said he had fulfilled our order first -- so it's really appreciated they honor the order and still fulfill it. Thanks!!!

Honestly, can't go wrong with Marugame for fast mall food udon. The nikutama is the best. Don't take the tempura home if you can help it, it's piping hot at the restaurant and now they've rearranged the condiments and utensils to the end of the room the flow is way better in there.
